In 2013, at a defining crossroads in my life, everything changed. As Pastor Godwill preached, it felt as though he was speaking directly into my story—every struggle, every question, every silent longing. In that moment, something stirred deep within me: a hunger for love, purpose, and acceptance I could no longer ignore. I found myself at the altar, wholeheartedly surrendering, saying “yes” again and again as I gave my life to Christ.

That decision marked the beginning of a transformative journey. I enrolled in River Bible School, dedicating two years to learning, growing, and serving in the church. But beyond the walls of faith, my eyes were opened to the harsh realities around me—poverty, unemployment, corruption, and inadequate healthcare. Though part of me wanted to turn away and return to Turkey, the visionary mindset I had developed at River Istanbul Church would not let me stay silent.

I began to see something different—a future where my community could rise, where individuals could discover and reach their full potential. With a gospel tract in my pocket and conviction in my heart, I started mobilizing young people, stepping into communities, sharing hope, and calling others to action.
